Simple Fettuccine Alfredo
This easy fettuccine Alfredo recipe makes a rich and creamy pasta dish that you can make in no time. Some simple ingredients are all you need to make a traditional Italian dish that is sure to please.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish optional
Instructions:
Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente
Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat
Add minced garlic and saut until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes
Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly, and bring to a simmer
Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce is smooth and creamy
Season with salt and pepper to taste

If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency
